Car makers offer hard-to-ignore deals to boost sales

Second time car buyers also have the advantage of getting exchange or loyalty bonus ranging between Rs 5,000 and Rs 10,000 depending on the model and from which region they have bought the car.
Santro comes with a discount of 40,000 rupees through free insurance, exchange bonus, finance payout and corporate discount. Getz Prime 1.3 litre is available with Rs 20,000 exchange bonus, whereas the 1.1 and 1.3 litre Getz comes armed with 90 per cent finance for seven years or 100 per cent finance for the salaried class.
The Accent GLE is available at all India price of Rs. 4.99 lakh plus octroi and entry tax wherever applicable. Verna and Elantra buyers get discounts of Rs 10,000 and an exchange bonus, while Sonata Embera customers can expect a Rs. 25,000 exchange benefit on buying the car. The automobile industry is trying to woo customers with discounts and offers to push up their sales. Discounts are being offered on General Motors? Chevrolet Spark, Maruti Udyog?s Esteem, Wagon R, Zen Estilo, Hyundai?s Santro etc.
General Motors India, the Indian subsidiary of US automobile major has announced a special price offer on Chevrolet Spark as part of the centennial celebrations. Chevrolet Spark will be offered at a starting price of Rs 2.79 lakh (ex. showroom Delhi) for those who book their car between October 12 and October 22.  This offer is valid for all bookings made on those ten days, even if the delivery of the car occurs later.
 
Maruti Udyog Ltd is giving discounts ranging from Rs 8,000 on its entry level Maruti 800 to Rs 30,000 on Esteem. The Petrol-driven Wagon R comes with a gift cheque of Rs 18,000. A similar discount is on Zen Estilo. However Swift, SX4 and Gypsy will not have any discounts, while a person buying a Wagon R (Duo) gets a gift cheque of Rs 3,000.
